There is something fundamentally resounding in Whose Story is This? Solnit eloquently defines the inequality in society which favours white middle-class men. Experiences and understanding shape each essay, and more so that the politics we embrace seem to have rewound 30 years as Solnit dissects the social and political climate we all have to traverse.

The titular essay was honestly brilliant, and paved way in my head nicely to the next few talking about the importance of storytelling and naming. "Long distance", that talks about how past is connected to the present in often unexpected ways, was just pure beauty.
