This was MESSY!!! I am honestly surprised I kept listening when I found out the whole book is primarily based on a

cheating scandal

. I liked the protagonist even though she had a very ‚how does this keep happening to me‘ attitude rather than a ‚i am the problem, it‘s me‘.
I read another book by this author and I appreciate the difficulty they put their characters through. They definitely feel like adults compared to some other romance book characters, that still have a 30s is the new 20s vibe.
I also liked that it wasn’t purely romance orientated but rather focused on bigger issues as well as on navigating friendships and relationship drama.

I think simply because I chose to finish it it should be 3.5⭐️⭐️⭐️s, because this storyline is not something i usually enjoy. I am bot 100% convinced i did this time around but at least I finished it…

Fantastic read, loved being taken back to my days in the theatre with this book!

Enjoyed the characters, especially Kathleen and her alter ego Katee Rose. Her friendship with Harriet was honest and so well written. The roller coaster of emotions Kathleen experienced with Cal was entertaining to read (to say the least)!

The boy band was a trip as well, having been a fan of a few of them during my lifetime
