Alex Finlay is an auto-buy author, and this did not disappoint. It wasn’t my favorite, but I enjoyed figuring out the connective thread between these two obviously different stories. The characters were a little illogical for me, Poppy as a character worked but her as a cop made no sense. Ryan felt a little chaotic but the choices he made in the end really surprised and delighted me. I thought this was an intriguing way to portray a very serious topic and I can’t wait for his next novel.
