big fan of this, listened to the audiobook and it just gave it that little extra oomph
the shift between talking about the wallpaper lady and becoming her went hard

I'd also go crazy if I married a man (who locked me in a room with ugly wallpaper.)

After loving Herland years ago, I have wanted to pick up this story for a while and found a tiny little copy while on holiday that contained The Rocking Chair and Old Water as a bonus. I loved these creepy and disturbing tales which were tied together by the creepy and disturbing men that plagued the women in these stories. And the ending of Old Water. Absolute perfection.
