Great steam but the overall story didn't work quite as well for me as the first book in this series. I'm not mad I read it though.

I do, infact, have daddy issues. I will not be expanding on the subject

This one felt like a major let down from the first one. MMC is dramatic asf and the paramedic calls him out on it lowkey because he thinks he's literally dying from a car accident and he's like "call Serena and tell her I love her!" and they're like "ur gonna be fine u can tell her yourself" lolol.

Serena’s naïveté was a little…much to start and Landon kinda sucks at first, really going for the middle aged fuckboy persona as he goes through his divorce. However, I did end up liking him and Serena together and liked their chemistry.

I feel like I write this in every review for a QB book, but she just does age gap, forbidden romance so well 🫠

Highlights:
  • Romance: MF
  • Dad’s best friend/business partner
  • Age gap
  • Forbidden Romance
  • Workplace romance
