Lucie and Tristan were great main characters, and their dynamic was absolutely everything. I loved how he was down bad for her from the start, and she was the one developing feelings throughout the book. Most books have it the other way around, and I honestly loved the switch up. On top of that they just a great back and forth, and they had some absolutely adorable moments together. I was utterly obsessed with the way their romance played out. They literally made me tear up with their cuteness. I even think their third act conflict was really well executed. I typically don't like those very much, but I think theirs made a lot of sense for them and their developement.
I also liked the suffragette subplot in this book. As much as I thought it was interesting part in the other books in the series I don't think it was always incorperated well, and therefore the plot could feel a bit bogged down. However, I don't think that was the case for this book. Considering Lucie is the leader of our group, she has A LOT on her plate. Therefore her work felt way more naturally incorperated into the story, also Tristan's interest for her job helped. It was great seeing him genuinely show an interest, and do the things in his power to help her out. It was just all really well done.

Most women will find nothing new in these pages but should have a delightfully fun time feeling seen. (A great read for those who want more of what Greta Gerwig gave the world in Barbie . . . or just want it dressed up in Victorian England.) Nonetheless, do read the content warnings first, know that it is a HEA, and that each objectionable element is challenged.

There was sooo much going on though that no everything felt really fleshed out.
But anyways, Tristan and his poetry were still a win.

Tristan & Lucie were okay; I do enjoy a slow burn because I love the unraveling of each character and the final ultimate "okay fine you have broken down my walls and I want you!" That is always delicious. However, I just could not find the male love interest that redeemable. Was he charismatic and had his sweet moments? Yes, absolutely. I just didn't feel he redeemed himself, that's all!
