Feels more disjointed then the previous novels in the series. Characters seem stagnant even though the story progresses. Likely done with the series unfortunately

Not sure what it is about this re-read but I am loving this series. I'm just kind of vibing with it all and enjoyed each and every page. It also doesn't hurt that I just love everything about all the people in the book either.

In it, you still have the same gang but it features lots of reunions. Whether it has Willa being yelled at or trying to not die. Either it way I was there for it all. I honestly really liked getting to know a bit more about the original gods - like Staviti. I still think his name is beyond weird and either killed/ate his brother.. or he's just shady AF.

Other than that, then ending gave me all kinds of crazy vibes.. from Pica. I don't know what she is on but someone needs a therapist. It's also kind of cool that Emmy is now a god as well? So now I'm even more intrigued as to what Willa is - power wise.

Not going to lie, this book definitely had it's boring moments.

Strength is the fourth installment of the Curse of the Gods series. In it, Willa and the guys have to deal with another obstacle thrown their way. Stravati, the OG god, has some secrets that end up coming out. Willa finds out that he actually had a brother.. and that he mysteriously died. Lowkey, totally called him murdering him.. but I wanted to know where all these gods or sols went if they weren't accepted or anything.

Luckily, I got some answers. However, it broke my heart once I did. I felt so bad for those sols/gods that were banished.. because it was just their souls that were banished.. and their actual bodies were somewhere else, rotting. AND the thing that got me the most.. was that they could see and feel what was happening to their bodies and they were so sad. Again, it broke my heart and I really hope that Willa and the guys can find a way to help them out.

Other than that, Willa is just a bad ass. I want to know what she actually is. Having some theories as to who her dad might be and I'm also thinking she's probably a born god.. maybe, just like the guys. Not certain yet but that's where I'm heading.

Na te serię trzeba przymknąć oko

Third reread and it STILL holds my mind just as firmly as the first time. I love this series.

still going strong

I had to give this one an extra star because of how much I laughed while reading the Dickhead Neauturing bit. I can't remember the last time I laughed that hard while reading a romance novel. I love Willa she just gets better and better.

That said there are still so many unanswered questions and I still want to know what the point of the cup was from book 1, there had better be a point to that stupid cup. The big question is still what is Willa? and who was her father. Also, where are all the dead dwellers/sols going when they die if they aren't being turned into slaves or becoming Gods? And, where are all the bodies of the dead God babies? Those poor children.

I still have an issue with the fact that all of the Abucurse brothers seem to share similar personalities the only real difference being their God gifts and the small personality quirks that might come from being the God of seduction or trickery and so on. As individuals, without their God gifts, they are carbon copies of each other. But Willa's huge personality seems to make up for there's tenfold.

I'm still wondering why the O.G. God wouldn't allow any of the Chaos Betas to ascend we never did find out the real reason behind that and now that Choas is dead I guess we never will? Speaking, or writing/thinking, of Gods who don't have Betas the only other two gods without a Beta, are the Neutral God because he was created by Topia not O.G. God, and the original God himself Straviti, and since we know that Willa is neither Choas nor Neutral that only leaves the option of her being the Creation God Beta or possibly something new that has never been before. I think she has the name power as the creation OG God she seems to be able to do anything her very scattered easily distracted mind can think of, granted so far creating Dickheads and God Fire doesn't really make her seem all that powerful but given the right incentive to put more 'intention' and thought behind her gifts I think she could be just as powerful as Stravaiti. I guess we will find out in book 5 onward readers...
