We loved this one. I remember it fondly from childhood. Some outdated language but overall timeless parental challenges are treated with a thoroughly modern and hilarious approach. My kids enjoyed it a lot.

My kids really loved this book! We've read it aloud this summer and had a blast. My youngest's favorite story was the fighter-quarrelers cure and my oldest loved the radish cure the best! I'm just glad the book held up from what I remembered as a child even if I do related more to the moms than the children at this point.

This book is so funny. Definitely read it to your kids, but you'll get a kick out of it to.

Such delightful fun! And a testament to its timelessness, I had to read it quick as someone else was waiting for it.

My 5 year old loved it. There were some parts that made me uncomfortable.

revisiting a childhood favorite. Certainly showing its age (written in 1947) but still a light, funny story.

I have been reading a lot of easy books for younger kids. I find the plot ok. In books like these I wish there were some more adventure. The plot is boring.

The girls had a lot of fun with this one. My 7 year-old had her all figured out by chapter 7, "I know what she's going to tell them to do..." and she was spot on for the rest of the book. In the end I'd have to say that I prefer a book to have more of a ... plot? I loved the first chapter and even though I enjoyed the silliness of the rest of the book I would have like more of a story. We'll definitely be reading more of Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, regardless.
