As I go to review this a few weeks later, I have all but forgotten the plot!

My guess was intentional poisoning of someone by Marina to build up some sort of suspense and hype around her that someone was trying to take her out, to increase her fame in a very, uh, problematic way. That would be super dark, but I think a twist on the plot from Moonflower Murders got into my brain. Though that is not quite the plot in that book, it reminded me that people are sometimes unhinged when it comes to getting (or getting close to) fame.. The end result here was more satisfying though, I think.As I go to review this a few weeks later, I have all but forgotten the plot!

Der einzige Makel des Buches ist, wie das Kinderkriegen, Adoption und Kindererziehung thematisiert wurden. Auch wenn das Buch schon älter ist, finde ich es trotzdem mehr als grenzwertig, wenn ein Kind mit einer geistigen Behinderung als die große Tragödie im Leben der Mutter dargestellt wird.

Este libro ha tenido el mérito de sacarme del mayor bloqueo lector que he tenido nunca. Esto del coronavirus ha trastornado mi vida lectora (y la normal también, claro).
Ahora bien, es un libro muy flojo de la Christie. Me entretuvo porque quería saber quién lo había hecho, pero los personajes, en general, me daban igual. Lo elegí porque está situado en el pueblecito de Miss Marple y pensé que tendría más personajes típicamente ingleses y diálogos ingeniosos. No es así. Tiene cierta importancia en la evolución del personaje de Miss Marple, en eso está bien haberlo leído.
Descubrí quién era el asesin@, pero fue casi al final de todo. Y creo que algunos elementos no quedaron del todo explicados.
En fin, entretenida sin más.

Francamente decepcionante, no se puede comparar con las otras novelas que leí de la autora.
La parte del medio es muy aburrida, los "sospechosos" apenas se distinguían, no ha habido tensión y la conclusión ha sido algo gratuita. Puede que este sea el que menos me ha gustado de momento.

I love the idea of Miss Marple, but I haven't loved many of the books featuring her. I like more proactive detectives, I think.
This one was still fun (I love Agatha Christie's characters and mysteries) but not my favorite. The beginning was slow and not at interesting to me, but I did like the mystery and I did not guess the ending (I'm not great at figuring out the mystery before the end of the book
