I am a really big fan of Kate Winkler Dawson and all of her various podcasts so I was pretty excited to read Death in the Air. The book was a little slow at times and it took a second to get use to the differing POVs but once you finally sat down to read it after the first couple of chapters it really made sense to have it structured that way. I really like how Kate tells true crime stories as she ties the stories to lessons and what was learned from the events rather than sensationalizing them. She focuses on all aspects of the crime and the smog and not just the villain. I also really enjoyed the Parliament debates on the smog and heavily rooted for MP Norman Dodds as I was reading this. 🤣
