I like this book, a solid 4 star read for me. Cozy time travel story, a bit predictable, no villain, single minded plot. I felt a sense of dejavu with the plot though.

About 75% of the book has similar time travel mechanism with “In Times Like These” series by Nathan van Coops. With minor differences. MC Joe is similar with Ben Travers, his friend Mark character is similar with Nathan’s Dr. Quickly, his wristwatch time-teller is similar with the ChronoWatch. Time travel rules are also similar in which they can disappear and reappear at the same spot in different times, so the danger of fusing with nearby objects would be real.

MC Joe also can “see” things from objects, this psychometry is very similar with another book “The Dig” by Michael Siemsen. The rest 25% of the book reminds me of scenes from “The Time Traveller’s Wife” by Audrey Niffeneger where Alba travels to the future to watch her parents. Then the end when “Bill” shows up to invite Joes for the Magical Mystery Tour Group, feels awfully similar with Nick Fury inviting Tony Stark to build the Avengers. All jumbled into one :) I don't mind though, still a good read, I will be continuing with this series.
