The middle section was a little slow, mostly experimenting and learning time travel rules. I loved the ending.

I received this book from a Goodreads Giveaway. I really wanted to like this book more, but I think there was too much trying to explain how the time travel worked, which I am still confused about, and not enough character building. The main character felt way too sorry for himself and used a past event as an excuse for every bad thing that happened in his life, including his tendency to avoid difficult situations/conversations. The relationship with the hypnotherapist seemed to come out of nowhere and went from weird to romantic in a very short period of time with not much interaction and felt unrealistic. Ultimately, I think this story was written as a vehicle to start a series and leaves the reader with many more questions than answers. The technical aspect of the writing is fine. I would recommend waiting for at least book two before reading this one. Maybe it would help to be able to go right into the sequel where, hopefully, at least some of the loose ends get tied up.
