I can't believe I read the first and third graphic novels but skipped the second one! As usual, this was a great companion to the book with the story. The graphics are good and I enjoy seeing Lisbeth in all her glory. If you don't know this part, this is where Henrietta disappears and Mikhael is investigating her disappearance. Is she dead or just vanished without a trace? Loved this series.

Read this last night when I couldn't sleep and my knees were really hurting so I got up in the middle of the night. About the same as the first book. Seems harder to follow than the movie. Will quit this series now.

This was the second part of book one and I'm even more impressed by it. I watched the movie awhile back but of course this book gives way more detail surrounding so many of the events as well as Mikael's and Lisbeth's life. What started off as just a mystery surround a missing person turned into so much more....corruption, murder, lies and family secrets. The movie really gave it no justice! I want to give a special shout out to the author for portraying Lisbeth's sexuality as just that..her sexuality. She's not fetishized and her relationship with her girlfriend is just that, a relationship. I can't wait to read the remaining books in the series.

I don't think I'm a good audience for graphic novels and doubt I'll read any more, especially if they're based on books of which I've read the full versions. I did find the artwork in this second volume to be slightly better than the first, but I still didn't particularly care for the story. I suspect that my dislike is not related at all to the graphic novel, but more to the comparison between the graphic and full novels. I just felt there were too many (lots, in fact) important details left out of this book, and the holes were very apparent to me. But perhaps they won't be apparent or even noticeable to someone who hasn't read the full work.

I read this because I felt I should. It wasn't bad, good characters and suspenseful. However the first 10% and last 20% were slow and boring. I'll still read the rest of the series probably.
