While I valued the uniqueness of the novel and the Bayside setting was very familiar to me, it wasn't a story I much understood in the end. There were parts which really were wonderfully written, but the graffiti bandit plot was lost on me. When you've lived in the area your entire life, it all seemed really bizarre. I'm not sure if it was all real in the end? It was confusing.
