I like the colors and illustrations in this book, but I think it is way too long for this age group. Also, would a toddler understand, "the dismal gray of disappointment?"

Terrific! Screams "I'm originally French" at you, but that's rarely a bad thing in picture books or graphic novels.

This is definitely one of the longest picture books I've ever read. I like the unique concept, and adore Pomelo's unique name, but reading this book to its target audience would have to be done in multiple sittings.

Also, just because I'd want someone to tell me, it does show Pomelo, an elephant, peeing from behind a tree. The format is "yellow like ____" and "pink like ______" and on this page, as the elephant is urinating from behind a tree, and a puddle is forming, the text reads "yellow like wee-wee."

Other than the length and the "wee-wee" comment, this is a precious, adorable exploration of color!

This was a little too long for something without a storyline. The pictures were fun and the color descriptions were certainly unique though.

I really want to give this book a 2.5.

I liked some of the use of language and some of the illustrations. I didn't like the inconsistency of the items described. Some are concrete objects. Some are feelings. There wasn't a smooth transition from one color to the next.

I really liked this. The pictures were great and some of the color examples were really unique.
