I enjoyed this book more than the first. I loved the unique perspectives we got from the characters and all were able to see everything that was happening, even from the villains point of view. This book was thought provoking and has giving me so much to think about. I am desperately waiting for the third book to arrive since I had to order it.

Suffice to say that Goddard is the most recent in a long line of scythes who look up into the night sky and see not the stars, but the darkness between them.

Loved the first book loved the sequel. A great continuation of the story and further builds the world of scythes. The idea of an AI overlord is handled really well in book and the struggles of each of the character were written so well. Each of the actions and emotions in this book feel tangible.

A very satisfactory continuance to Scythe, with lots of twists and turns. I had a great time.

By the way, there is really no diversity per se, because humanity is at this point so blended that there is only one race with minor variations.

Neal Schustetman’s ability to craft characters is exceptional and this is abundantly clear in Thunderhead. A thrilling sequel that accomplishes plot in the most engaging, and in the end, subversive, way. A story that only moves faster and more invigorating with each page, the lives of characters weaving together in an increasingly masterful tapestry of narrative.

Excuse me while I rush to the library for the next one.
