Tales You Win

I have been waiting for Grim and Beasts story since I read the Academy of Stardom series. Knowing how they are in the future it’s so great to be able to see how they were in the beginning.

This duet takes us back in time to see how Grim & Beast came to be and why he served up her enemies hearts in a box. Yes friends, we have another gritty (dark-ish) romance here but it is NOT a reverse harem. Have you met these two? There would be bloodshed....

Tales You Win is written as a love letter to their daughter in response to the events in Their Obsession. It is also the tamest of the two books and focuses as much on how Kate transforms in to the Queen of Tales as it does the romance. There is a bit of an age gap (like six years and she 17/18 at the time) and it has all the bodyguard/forbidden romance tension. Tales really take the time to build a slow burn with lots of banter, chemistry, and gnashing teeth. It will have you irrationally shouting at your book to DO SOMETHING.

Omg this book

I’ve never downloaded a sequel so quickly in my life.

It didn’t start off the strongest novel, but I was hooked towards the end. I need to know what happens to Grim and Beast right now.

Not a terrible story but probably would have made more sense if I’d read the series it’s a spin-off of. Just wasn’t my cup of tea.

I am not surprised in the slightest that this was another 5 Star ⭐️ read for me from Bea Paige!

I didn’t know how much I needed Beast and Grim’s story until I read it and now I NEED book 2 NOW!

This book gives you the background story of Grim and Beast and how it all leads to the future versions you’ve read in Bea’s previous books!

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS BOOK!

The tension!!

Short and steamy and full of angst. I love both Grim and Beast, I do wish she was maybe 5+ years older but that's a personal thing.

I haven't read any of the other books connected to this duology but didn't feel like I missed out on anything

The final sentence has me diving into the second book straight away.

Beast made a promise to protect Grim, even from himself, and that is exactly what he does. Beast and Grim's love story is epic and soul destroying. The sexual tension between these two is

This book was so good!! I read it in 2 1/2 hours! I fell in love with Grim and Beast when I first read the Academy of Stardom series and I was so happy when Bea said she was writing their story. I love them both so much and I had this stupid grin on my face for most of the book. It is dark though so don’t think because I was smiling that it’s all kitten and rainbows. Malakai (from Beyond the Horizon) was my favorite but he may have to be second after this book, because Beast is taking that first place spot in my heart. I’m not too happy about that cliffhanger; though I am glad that their story is going to be a duet! Also I just wanted to throw in that I absolutely LOVE the cover!
