Fans of Anne of Green Gables will like this book. Emily as a character is very similar to Anne and has similar troubles (saying too much, dreamer, rash decisions) although different circumstances.

I enjoy L M Montgomery. Not as humorous as Anne of Green Gables, but an enjoyable read.
Abandoned on page 176 of 400. Beautifully written but to dreamy and slow for me.
I was an Anne-girl growing up. Only now, as an adult, am I venturing into the Emily books. I am struck by how different from Anne she is and kept help wondering what kind of woman I would have become if I had read Emily books growing up.

Iki-ihana Runotytön tarina, tällä kertaa äänikirjana. Sopi niin hyvin marraskuisiin tunnelmiin. Tämä on lohtukirja ja käärii kuin lämpimään vilttiin. Emilian elämä ei ole helppoa ja vastoinkäymiset seuraavat toistaan, mutta hän osaa nähdä myös hienot ja kauniit pienet jutut ja kirjoittamalla asiat ylös hän selviää vaikeistakin asioista ja ihmisistä. Meinaan kuunnella myös jatko-osat.
I read the sequels also. 4*s for the 2nd, 3*s for the third. I really enjoyed reading them until the 3rd book - too depressing up until the last 2 pages which skipped over all of the parts a waited for too quickly. Very descriptive writing though. I wish I had an imagination like that, and the talent for putting it into words.
