Modern telling of Jane Eyre. I have some problems with it, namely that a feminist PhD whose office is in the attic is the modern version of Mr. Rochester's mentally ill wife, who he locks in the attic. Good discussion of identity and culture.
Ebbed and flowed for me: some times really a page turner and other times it made my eyes gloss over. Overall, it was a fun, mostly quick read.
