Better than the other books since the author dropped the bad slang, but still not a fan. This one was too long, and the premise of the world making a villain of a little boy who killed his dad in self defence when his dad was trying to kill his mom, her best friend, and himself, is so wrong and its painful to read. Also, Paz has such a complex as a result, which sure is earned, but him freaking out about Alano’s other friends being close to him after knowing him like three days is too much. He needs to chill.

On top of all that, its not even a full story, it ends on a cliffhanger.

Much better than the second book but not as good as the original
Paz was a very annoying character to me which made it difficult to really get into this book.
Although I liked the relationship between the two boys, both Paz and Alano using it as a reason to

not kill themselves felt like it was making light of a serious issue.
