I really wanted to enjoy this book, but I found the first two-thirds unbelievably dull. It only started to pick up in the final 100 pages which seems to be a recurring issue with overhyped BookTok reads.

One aspect I appreciated was that the FMC is in her 30s, but unfortunately, her behavior often felt more like someone in their early 20s. She constantly complains about her job without ever trying to change her situation, tolerates an oddly obsessive friend, strings along the love interest in a very immature way, and only suddenly takes an interest in her magical abilities after neglecting them for most of her adult life.

The resolution also felt poorly executed. The antagonists essentially vanish without consequence, which left the ending unsatisfying and unresolved.

Overall, I think the book could have been much tighter, with more focus on the individual trials rather than unnecessary filler.

Rewitched was such a cosy autumn read - it gave me full Sabrina the Teenage Witch nostalgia in the best way. The small-town magic, the quirky coven, and the slightly spooky vibes were exactly what I wanted.

That said, I did spend a lot of the book feeling like the FMC was causing half her own problems (girl, just read the book that might help you and maybe say yes to the promotion you clearly deserve oô).

Still, Ari was a real highlight, and the coven/found family kept me hooked.

Not groundbreaking and slightly predictable at times, but if you want something warm, witchy, and fun for spooky season, this definitely delivers.

Rewitched is incredibly cute and is a great cozy read for autumn.

While the plot can be a bit predictable at times and the end felt a bit rushed, that doesn't take away from the cozy magical vibes throughout the story.
