A fantastic work historically. Locke's style of verbose language makes him a little difficult to understand sometimes, but if you have the perseverance to get into him, you can easily tell where much of our constitution came from.
Read Chapter I, II, V, X, XI, XIX for Politics 109: The Foundations of Western Politics.
Difficult to read at first, but once you get used to the syntax it's quite straightforward. He is the founding father of liberalism and discusses social contract theory and labour theory of value.
