Cute best friend’s brother romance with a little enemies to lovers from all the pranks they did growing up. Carter definitely deserves better, but I can see why Emelia was torn about whether she should start dating him or not. So I’m excited to see how the rest of their story plays out now that they’ll both in college together.

Oh Catharina, how I love your garbage

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SERIES. I read it awhile ago and I still think about Emilia and Carter almost daily. Their story will forever stick with me but because of how well each book was written but also the love/chemistry the characters had. It was the PERFECT trilogy in my opinion and I wouldn’t have changed a thing. I loved how each book kept specific to a certain time in their life and didn’t jump around with large gaps of time. This best friends brother romance was done brilliantly and I can’t rave about it enough.

Did not know this book was the first book in a trilogy so that's on me for not checking. It's hard for me to read books about high schoolers. Especially since the whole time I was thinking there was going to be a time jump or two. These families are a bit dysfunctional and I'm hoping Emilia drops her friend soon. Will continue reading probably, but I think I need a break lol. I might have read or at least started almost every single one of Catharina's books/series this month.

The cute rivalry that Emilia and Carter had going on might be one of my fav so far. I love that that they found their love language through this as well. Take into when Emi was upset from her mom how Carter knew that a little pranking would cheer her up (though that backfired

I'm not sure how to feel about this story and characters. I really, really don't like Kate, and I think Emilia lets her get away with too much. Who needs enemies when you have a friend like Kate? I feel so bad for Emilia in this. Her father is pretty absent, and what he said to her in the beginning sucked. Her mother is a POS! Clark is ok. I do love the sexual tension between him and Emilia, but I'm not feeling them as an actual couple. I'm hoping the next book is better!
