wow that was an incredible story. easy 5 stars. such great concepts like no single worldview is absolutely true, religion, identity, and fantasy. Incredible how it was published centuries ago and it still holds accurate today with commentary on mass culture.

Oh God. This book. Bane of my undergraduate life, c. 1995. I tried, in both languages. In the end I just read all the lit crit and based my essay on that. It worked.

Wow.. If i could give it more than 5 stars i would. What can I say about this book.. It absolutely Has everything..

This is the best 900 pages I've read!
The author has put a lot of work into this story so that it would be an everlasting source of amusements.
I've heard that it was a popular cartoon when I was younger but I seriously don't remember. When u hear the words (don Quixote) u can't help but think about the windmills, his most famous incident. Let me tell u that it has so much more.
Don Quixote is craziest maddest knight ever known. Notwithstanding all of this. His words can be the most exquisite flow of wisdom

What I enjoyed most of all is The fact that u can't afford to lost concentration or you would have to reread for the events are in a chainlike manner. Always connected.

This is a work of art. In any form u may find it

I burrowed the hard copy of the book but sadly I couldn't keep it with me for long (not Long enough to finish the 900+ pages anyway) I downloaded the audiobook as a bedtime story and I have the ebook of my laptop.
I would definitely look for a hard copy to purchase. An original one with illustrations perhaps..
If you love the noble age or this noble man (don Quixote) you should read it N give it a
Shot.
Don't be intimidated by the 900 pages. They fly with the wind if you are into it

DID NOT FINISH

I would like to be able to pick it back up again.  The main character is an idiot and his cycles of mistakes are frustrating and drag the story along, slower than a snail's pace.
adventurous funny hopeful reflective medium-paced

Interesting but repetitive; read about a quarter of it and feel like i got the message adequately.

I almost felt like I would never come out on the other side of this. I enjoyed this, but I would also STRONGLY recommend reading the abridged version. There was quite a bit of repetition, but the humor, word play, and snark (Oh Sancho Panza you are a Mood) are very entertaining. I was humming Brian Stokes Mitchell’s solos from the Broadway show as I recognized scenes from the musical, but unlike the Broadway rendition, Sancho has my heart. The sarcasm, snark, and just general attitude of NGAF was what kept me laughing. I knocked another classic off my list for 2020!

I usually enjoy classics, but I just couldn't get into this one. I do have to admit some of the short stories hidden in the plot-line are wonderful, but it was hard to get through.
