I enjoyed the commentary in this (tbh I'm not much of a foodie), especially the author's reflections on the effects colonization and immigration have on identity. I wish there were more pictures of the food/recipes and less pictures of the author but it felt fitting with this project. This was less cookbook, and more food related memoir.
