This was my 1800 book for the year and not a bad one to reach my goal with for sure. This was so ridiculously fun, not a single thread of serious literature but very fun to read. If you read this book with your serious glasses on, you won't enjoy it at all. But sometimes a mindless, action packed , silly apocalyptic read is all you need

There were pieces stitched together from all kinds of postapocalyptic works, like A Boy and His Dog or more obviously Escape from New York, but in ways that work on their own. It was a fun book to read.

This was an interesting and fun read. Sometimes it felt like the author was trying to cram too much into too little a volume.

Mortimer's travels and adventures, after the end of the world (as we know it, anyway), are chock full of all sorts of characters, a good number of different survivors with their own tactics for survival, and no lack of situations unique to the apocalypse.

A quick read that is a nice addition to anyone why loves the genre.

Even there are parts of the story that are predictable, this was a very fun read. There are some dark undertones and political jabs that pop out at you while reading.

I burned through this book very quickly as it was very entertaining. Some may not like the content, but hey it's the apocalypse.

It's not life-changing, but it was. Lots of dumb action and an insane Ted Turner. It was fun to listen to on the way to and from work. It's probably more fun as an audiobook because of the gruff southern voices the narrator used.
