I love dystopians, so I obviously devoured and enjoyed it. I did have to keep reminding myself that it's a middle-grade book. It just seemed too short and I wanted to know more. I wasn't exactly blown away, but it was good.

I thought that the world wasn't developed enough for me. It's also a really short book, so I didn't feel like I had enough time to care about the characters either. The plot was mildly interesting, but it wasn't nearly exciting enough for me.

7/10. (3.5/5)

I know most people are given the oppurtunity to read this in school. I never was given that chance nor would I have likely wanted it. Just want to say I am so gratefule for agency and choices. I can't imagine a world where you don't get to make any of your own decisions in life. Although this book gives you a glimpse of what it would be like.
