I get what the book was trying to say but I couldn't get over how selfish the narrator was. Hopefully the things that disappeared from the world only disappeared from HIM only so HE could better accept his fate.

I listened to it on audio and maybe it was the narrator, but this book missed the mark for me. I know it was a book in translation but something felt off. I didn’t care for the character and therefore I didn’t care about the story.
