very very dull. contains a consistently awkward prose throughout that makes reading it such a jarring experience, the dialogue sounds non-human at times and the characters are lifeless. interesting premise that was explored in such a meaningless and lacklustre way in my opinion. 2 stars for the title, and the cover is beautiful.

"How often does violence restart a life?“

Such a great idea but sadly a very bad execution. I just didn’t get the point at all. Of anything.
This book tried to be metaphorical, hard to grasp but it was just confusing. It opened so many questions, barely any got answered.

The cover is really pretty and I like the inside cover with the cows, although they weren’t quite as significant in this book as they’re made out to be.

I usually love deranged struggling women and I started to really like Margot but this one just wasn’t it…
The ending came way too quickly, the actual story starts 100 pages into the book, at page 170 it got interesting for the first time. The book is only 180 pages long.

Very disappointing

I thought the title was cool and assumed the book would be too.
I didn’t really enjoy the writing style. I needed more from it somehow! The descriptions (+dialogue) were so shallow and the characters were not crafted very well imo. Needed more detail and depth overall. I got nothing out of this book? This was just made to be one of those weird quirky books where the protagonist is so odd and diFfEReNt (in a “cool girl” way) and she does weird things and gets into strange situations/predicaments and relationships with other weirdos. Sometimes it works, and when it does I love it, but this book was trying TOO HARD.
