From the New York Times best-selling creator of the Vanderbeekers series comes a triumphant tale of friendship, healing, and the power of believing in ourselves told from the perspective of biracial sixth-graders June and Tyrell, two children living in a homeless shelter. As their friendship grows over a shared love of classical music, June and Tyrell confront a new housing policy that puts homeless families in danger.

I won an ARC of this book from a Goodreads giveaway but I listened to this book on Libby. I enjoyed this book. I liked the characters. I like that this book is set in New York City. I like that this book had Cantonese in it and that the phrases were translated into English. I thought that was interesting. I liked reading about the children in this book trying to save the homeless shelter. I liked that this book has music in it because I like music. I liked that it has a friendship in it. I liked the author’s notes at the end of the book about the Cantonese that was used in this book and also why she wrote this book. I found this book to be sweet and heartwarming.
