When I found this series I didn't expect to become so attached and invested in it as I am. This book was fun, it was also heartbreaking. It was hopeful, and it made me mad. I continue loving the characters! Sorin and Scarlett are precious! Cyrus and Cassius.... They are also both precious.
Scarlett I find her growing, she's secretive still yes but she's learning. Scarlett will do anything for those that she loves. Scarlett is off doing as the Oracle has asked and is seeking some keys, and a lock. Along the way though so much happens. I find that everything that does happen, happens for a reason. And I'm really hoping that the last like 30% of the book has an explanation as to WHY it had to happen the way it did. I can't wait to read the next book, I'm still waiting for my book-mail to come in with the last of these books as well. I read the first two books..... And proceeded to buy the entire series physically... Just gonna point out that this is how much I have fallen in love with this series.

This is really a 3.5 ⭐️ but I've given it a 4 as i love the series. It had a bit too much arguing and dithering about non communication and issues, so I am hoping the next book comes through with the goods!!

The beginning was meh tbh, but the ending!!! The ending was lovely and I'm so excited for the story to continue!

This one was definitely more plot heavy. Which I still enjoyed, but I did miss Sorin and Scarlett's easy banter and connection. The romance definitely took a back seat but I still saw the bond that they had. And Sorin's death better not be legit and he better still find a way to love Scarlett even if its from the world of the dead. I still have to read books 4, 4.5, and 5 so I'm hoping that Sorin is still part of the storyline

I am really enjoying this series. I agree with some of the other reviews that it does feel very much... 'Sarah J Mass inspired' with a lot of TOG and ACOTAR about it in both the character and plot.
That being said I'm still very much enjoying it. The banter between the characters often has me laughing aloud and the interpersonal relationships are fascinating.
I am 'reading' this series as audiobooks and must say Laura Horowitz and Greogory Salinas' narration really adds another level to this series for me.
