The writing is so bad and the main character is so unlikeable.

This is Outlander fan fiction with a bit of zany characters and outrageous behavior. I felt myself agreeing with Sophia and exasperated with Emma. Despite that, this book had redeeming qualities such as Emma’s tendency to make friends with locals and the lessons she learned about friendship. It did have many predictable bits but it was enjoyable.

I read this book because I'm a fan of the Outlander series. I did not expect the blog post formatting but it did not distract me from reading the book. I finished it in less than a week so it definitely captured my attention. However, the main character, Emma, got annoying at times. I did not find myself rooting for her during parts of the books and questioned some of her choices.

Also, the book was predictable. I knew what was going to happen - the major plot points and twists - before it actually happened. I think I finished reading it in order to find out if my predictions were right - and they were right. Although it's a predictable read, I was entertained which is what I always want out of a book.

This book I will be rating generously at 3.5, but most the time it was a three.

This book is definitely written for the nerdiest types of Outlander fans. I would consider myself a fan but even I found myself thinking that several parts of the book were excessively on the nose. Nearly every character in this book shares a name with someone in Outlander, which at times felt a bit excessive, and generally eye roll inducing.

The plot of the story is definitely unique. A girl (the same age as Claire in Outlander) goes on a journey to Scotland
