Loved this engaging and relevant thriller from Terry Hayes! As it happened, an event in the story took place on 9-11 and coincidentally I was reading the book on 9-11. Pretty eery.

Some reviewers have complained that they couldn't get into the book at first. I encourage you to hang in there. Events start off with a bang and some of the early incidents don't seem related, but I am so glad I persisted. The story is worth it! And everything makes sense in the end. Check it out!

Loved it. The development of the characters was so good, the stories within the larger story kept this thing moving along. Clever plot, unique narrative, perfect amount of suspense and intensity with out going way overboard. So good

A fabulous story that goes inside the mind of both the terrorist and the terrorist hunter. It also adds a NYC seemingly unsolvable murder, international jet-setters, and dozens of exotic locales. I believe this excellent screenwriter took full advantage of the relaxed rules of the novel and wrote and wrote and wrote. The only complaint is that it could have been a little tighter.

My personal review ratings are based upon the following:
1 Star, “I did not like it or couldn’t finish it”;
2 Stars, “I think it is just Ok, but I’ll never think about it again”;
3 Stars, “I think it is an entertaining, enjoyable book, and I’ll think about it again”;
4 Stars, “I really love this book, and I may read it again”;
5 Stars, “I think this book is excellent, I will read it again, and it will likely stand the test of time.”
