I had this book recommended to me by a friend when I asked for friends to lovers recs! It didn’t disappoint! This one is fast paced and if you’re looking for something quick to the spice, this is it!
Jeremy and Owen have been friends for a LONG time, best friends actually. They do everything together, but are two very different men! Jeremy is a pseudo-member of Owen’s close knit family, ever since he was kicked out of his own home at a young age. They have been there for one another through it all, and the friendship they share is authentic.
One “mishap” at a party sent Owen reeling, and got him quite curious, which led to a birthday slumber party at Jeremy’s. Slumber parties are not unheard of for these two, but this one had some things happen that Jeremy had always wanted to occur, but he didn’t think ever would, because his dear friend Owen is straight, or so he thought!
I really enjoyed the fact that these men are both very ‘alpha’ males; there is no way either of them would ever give up control in the bedroom! The way this story develops has them both questioning what it would be like to give up control, and when they do…well, it’s explosive! There is kink mixed in between the pages of this love story; it was really well done, and didn’t take away from the build up of the guys’ relationship. It fit perfectly! This book definitely threw me some surprises and I’m not mad about any of them!

More Like 3.5 stars, but I'm rounding up
The storyline feels too fast and forced, and there's really not enough of 'they're doomed, and will never again be together' part of the story.
I think this book needs a few good filler scenes (and not bedroom ones) where we actually get to know the characters and their background a bit better.

Beyond wowed!
