This book was so cute and pretty spicy, although I'm hoping for more in the next! Plot was decent and just felt cozy in a darkish romance way

3.5 Stars.

I mean it was a decent story/book. It just wasn’t for me I think. I only finished it coz I had committed to reading it and knowing how it ended.

The Daddy kink was definitely not my thing. Nor was the Dom/sub vibe - it was like reading 50 Shades of Grey again but with an emotionally damaged teen virgin and some super controlling rich man! (Who would probably be a creep if he weren’t

I loved the secondary characters though. But in general the book was just the typical 50 shades stuff.

Will I recommend it? No. But if Daddy kinks + Dom/sub romance is your thing - go for it.

Glad to be done with it.

Another GREAT read by Lula Frost. If OTT alphas are your thing, but you enjoy a story with total heart wrenching sweetness, no one blends the two together better than Layla in Little Dove!!

It wasn't the tropes, the age gap, the kidnapping, no.
The issue I take with this book is that the romance appeared out of nowhere, like, she barely sees Maximo in a year and then she is having sex with him, there was no developing of the relationship at all.

It was meh. Just didn't vibe with me, I guess.

🌶🌶🌶
Questionable grooming portrayed in book that I somehow glossed over in the beginning and didn't catch until deeper in book. That's what I get for trying to read multiple books at a time. 🤦‍♀️Would not re-read or recommend. (Bookbub Rec)

Enjoyed the story and banter of the MC's. I also love a found family trope, and got a little bit of that with all MMC's men. The age gap with the FMC being barely legal brought the star rating down. I'm ok with an age gap, but much prefer if the FMC is at least in her mid-twenties. That being said, I am going on to read the next in the series, and will just pretend the FMC is a bit older.

I wanted to like this one. The blurb instantly appealed to me but I found myself skipping through parts just to get it over with. Part of it I think was because of Juliet’s age so her immaturity got annoying at times. I do think if I had read the physical book I probably would have enjoyed it more. The narrator for Juliet had a very young sounding voice and that also threw me off in some of the scenes. I’m undecided on if I will try the next one in the series but if I do, I think I will try the ebook instead of audiobook.

Maximo is a definite touch her and die kind of MMC. He will tolerate no threats to Juliet's safety. Even before they start a relationship, he does everything in his power to give her a good life since it is clear that she had anything but before he came into the picture. The story itself was good but I found Juliet to be very immature and frustrating at times and that made it difficult to enjoy the story.

Good book

It had some spicy scenes. A lot of love. Some suspense. Overall, it's a good book. Would recommend for those who like HEA and age gap.
