I don't have the most collected thought on this one, mostly because life events made me take a huge gap in the middle of reading it. So maybe I am partially being influenced by that when I say that this book is entirely too long. After the half way mark, a lot of the points become repetitive. But this book is good in the sense that it is meticulously researched and well argued. I just suspect the author would be more compelling in a format other than a book. I think this is more suited to audio formatting, like a podcast with him. A lot of the jokes fall really flat and feel unnecessary.

A really useful primer on what copaganda is, how to identify it, and how to push back against it. Most useful for those who write and consume news content, but a worthy read for any of us. I could have done without the attempts at humor inherent in copaganda award-giving in ceremonies witnessed by pets; even as a cat owner, I felt this was a tonal clash — but then again, I’m an academic so reading pure academic prose would not bother me.

Some essential lessons in media literacy to be gained from reading this. Suffers a bit from the weight and magnitude of the problem it's covering... e.g. I feel like I would have gotten as much from 10 bulleted lists of rotten sources as I did from what felt like 100.

A well written examination of some of the issues in the current justice system in North America. Could have been more concise though.
