Mr. Horowitz, once again, proves he's a master of the modern mystery. Cleverly plotted, beautifully written, it’s a true page-turner full of wit and intrigue. The story within a story is brilliantly done, keeping you guessing until the very end. 

I loved the main character, all her name-dropping of famous writers.

An absolute treat for fans of classic whodunnits.

Great novel. The book within a book creates layers and can be a bit confusing. I found myself having to go back and reread chapters and remembering characters names and where they fit into the story. This was a good follow on book to Magpie Murders. I recommend both books.

A much better way to insert the story within a story part than the first one. Had me engaged from the very beginning!

Finally I can click the "I'm Finished" botton. It took me month to finish this book. 
No it wasn't so bad, but it was too long, with too many people and too little excitement. Yes the ending was good, surprising and all but at that point I was already dreading to pick up the book and there is no coming back from with. 
But I plan to give Horowitz another chance, I still have good feeling about his writing style. I just don't ever want to meet Susan again.
