I got tired if the book. Had to read a novel within the novel. Decided I didn't care who done it.

I am loving this series by Horowitz. It is smart reading, classic murder mystery who-done-it, and totally entertaining to me. Had a lot of fun with this one, trying to figure it out.

Clever Anthony Horowitz. As with MAGPIE MURDERS in this book, the author puts a mystery novel in the middle of a mystery novel. In a couple of days, I won’t remember the names of the characters or even who committed the murder, but I will remember the elegance of the writing and the descriptions of the settings. That’s good enough for me

Bokredaktören Susan Ryeland blir anlitad av föräldrarna till en försvunnen kvinna, som tror att försvinnandet har att göra med ett åtta år gammalt mord på hotellet de äger. Anledningen till att just Susan ska försöka lösa mysteriet, är att hon varit redaktör för en bok som baserats på hotellet och personerna kring det.
Det är många ledtrådar, och i vanlig ordning är det en luddig gräns mellan verklighet och fiktion. Den här boken har en hel fiktiv bok i mitten!
