"Sir, I'm afraid I'm going to have to commandeer your bear."

4 Stars!

By now, unless something seriously makes Cochet vastly deviate from her surefire formula, this series most likely will not be getting anything less than a 4 from me. This was certainly no different.

As always, what I love most is the group dynamic plus the awesomely possessive claiming proprietary love that has blossomed, and only grown stronger, between Dex and Sloane. When you get all of these shifters and humans together, anything less than absolute fun fuckery is just not gonna happen.

Of course, this made me laugh, it made me swoon, I got ferklempt a few times as well. Cochet really knows how to bring it. I can’t wait for more!!

Remember when this series used to be hella good? Like 7 books ago? I still refuse to rate these books lower than a 3 (even though I’m really, really tempted to) because of some misguided sense of loyalty to how much I used to love these characters. Now they, along with the story, have just become one big joke. Sigh...

Minor spoilers in review.

Gummy Bears and Grenades is a cute little novella to bridge the gap between books 9 and 10. Dex is getting a Bachelor party. I’m not sure why Sloane isn’t also getting a Bachelor party….and it’s a little weird that Dex is getting one and not Sloane since they have all the same friends but….what do I know? Maybe Sloane didn’t want one and figured that since he’d be making a surprise appearance at Dex’s popping out of a cake (not really but sort of really) – then it was all good!

Of course, this is Dex so nothing goes smoothly – not even his Bachelor party. And now that Dex and all his buddies are either TIN operatives or TIN assets – things are even less likely to go smoothly. Dex however is not quite yet thinking like a TIN operative as evidenced by his not realizing that the would be kidnappers/torturers/assassins would have to be collateral damage – luckily Hudson’s long lost, no longer dead brother was lurking in the shadows and took care of business.

In short – not really any significant plot development; sort of a recap of where things stand and a fun check in with favorite characters. Also, the cover – is exactly how I picture Dex. Exactly.

I really have high hopes for the next book from all the foreshadowing that’s been going on

Just an adorable and completely enjoyable novella leading up to the last THIRDS book.
Dex getting his ridiculous self into completely absurd situations made me smile.

I love Dex and his shenanigans! While not moving the series plot terribly far, it was a great look at Dex, Sloane, and Destructive Delta. Lots of fun and sexy!!

!!! I'm so happy I got to read this, it was wonderful. In this .5 novel, it's Dex's bachelor party, and of course because it's the Dex we all know and love, things don't go quite so smooth.

First, Dex is having a good time, and he gets a special visit in a private room from a special someone ;)
SpoilerOf course it's Sloane and it's beautiful and hot and sexy and wonderful

Then, Dex being Dex, wants to wear a bear suit he sees some guy wearing, and once he corrals the guy into giving it to him, Dex finds some not so good things in the suit - hilarity ensues as he has to chase the bad guys down in a bear suit and when Sloane sees it on the news while he's having dinner with Tony. It cracked me up.

Then after Dex gets back to his bachelor party and has some fun for a few hours, Wolf shows up *rolls eyes* I am so done with Hudson's brother. I think he's supposed to be all cool and mysterious (and constantly hitting on an uninterested Dex) but really he's just annoying. I don't doubt he will be back. He's like a thorn in my side (although I'm sure others like him, then all the more power to ya)

Also, the constantly getting in Dex's space thing? And flirting? And like kissing his cheek? It's not cute or hot, it's kinda annoying and creepy. I don't know why Wolf thinks he's so appealing by acting like that lol, or maybe that's just me - although he is an assassin/man who likes (or is okay with) torturing and killing people, so maybe he doesn't understand like...social niceties? lol.

Anyway, other than Wolf I loved this. It was hilarious - and for a time, it had some seriousness with it, because Wolf didn't just come to flirt with Dex, he came to warn him about something, but it gets taken care of for the time being. I'm sure more will come in the next book (which I can't wait to read!)

Can't wait for everyone to read this because it is hilarious and cute and hot. Loved it! (Also, there is the first chapter for the next book at the end, yay!)

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I really enjoyed this novella. I also thought it was a good addition to the THIRDS Series, but it’s bittersweet since there’s only one more book. At least it isn’t the last we’ll get to see the characters that we gotten to know and fall in love with during this series. As there’s no doubt they’ll be featured in the TIN Series, since Dex and Sloane have decided to join TIN. Cael and Hudson plan Dex an awesome bachelor party but since Sloane isn’t attending I wonder what shenanigans Dex gets up to? I loved seeing all the gang together, and I enjoyed seeing Sloane and Tony spend some time together while Dex was at his bachelor party. I’m looking forward to reading the final book. I’d definitely recommend this novella, series and author to everyone.
