mirage was an adventure of a mystery book full of turns and unexpected twists in the little island of ravensfarne. i found myself making up so many theories and enjoying all of the little hints and surprises. the main character had a familiar feeling, the sense of being an ordinary teenage girl which made the story easy to transport yourself into. i was so happy to read the arc of this story and enjoyed the little easter eggs to emma smiths other works slipped into it. definitely a perfect read for this autumn.

This 😭 book 😭 oh 😭 my 😭 god 😭

Emma you have done it again! This book was so fun to read, and had me in all the feels 🫶 I can’t describe how relaxing it was to come home from school each evening this past week or so, and curl up on my bed with a coffee and my kindle reading this book!

I was theorising and guessing throughout the entire book (and was also very wrong, I formally apologise to the characters I wrongly accused in my kindle highlights). I read the last 150 pages or so at work and oh my god?? I had to hold back tears at my desk and I couldn’t hide my jaw DROPPING.

This book now has me in a chokehold, and the quotes are SO memorable. I loved the little shoutout to Lilz and Owen! And now I NEED to try every sort of item on the seasonal menus at Lianne’s 🫶

“Until you find your thing, you might as well just… enjoy your teenage years. Enjoy your friends, your favourite singers and shows, enjoy boys, crushes, little things, excitement.”
