Midnight Games starts out with Noelle getting a new job, but this time it hits closer to home than she would ever realize. This time the hit is for non other than James Morgan. Noelle doesn't take the job though, she goes to warn Morgan. Now, when Morgan gets close to finally finding the person he's been looking for for so man years he asks Noelle for help. Noelle knows she never stopped loving the man and now even though she wants to hate him she does what she can to help him. But some truths are revealed and Noelle isn't sure what she wants anymore and neither is Morgan.

This book took us on a roller coaster ride of the past and the present. Noelle and Morgan have a very crazy history, but when truths come out neither one really knows how to deal with it. And now Noelle knows that she will never stop loving him, and Morgan feels the same. But it may not be enough to get over past hurts.

Noelle was a very strong character in this book. She did a whole lot of bad things and good things, but in the end it worked out for the best. And Morgan, I wanted to slap him a few times, but he ended up being a pretty awesome hero as well.

I was happy with their HEA, now I'm even more excited to read more in this awesome series.

People say that the line between love and hate is very thin. This novel uses that axiom in the extreme. We finally get Morgan and Noelle's story. The anger and hatred between them crackles as hotly as their attraction. The added emotional pull of a long lost daughter makes this an excellent story. It would actually get four and a half stars rather than four. My only problem with the book is minor - making and drinking a cup of tea and throwing up twice should take more than one minute of time. I almost wish this one had been saved for the end of the series since it was so good, but it does make me anxious to keep reading the series to see if Kennedy can top herself. Not only am I now anxious for D's story, I'm also looking forward to a story for Liam and Sully.

Characters: contract assassin leader, mercenary leader
World Building: continuing contemporary - compound, Paris
Plot: rehashing bad past, finding family, overcoming toxic relationship issues
Sex: frequent, pretty hot
Read another: Yes

This series is totally growing on me. I did get kind of tired of the endless angry sex, though.

Kennedy is handling the MM subplot very well, with the very alpha guys pondering what their feelings mean about their identity.

I have come to expect amazingness from this series so wasn't surprised when this book turned out to be amazing as well. Elle Kennedy did it again! She delivered a book filled with jaw-dropping romantic suspense.

Jim Morgan and Noelle hated each other throughout the series and having two teams of assassins each, they most of the time come to each other for help whenever they're in need of it. Even though it pains to do it. You can see how much they loathe each other through out the series and that is why, I was intrigued for this book the most.

Noelle gets a contract to kill Jim. Now that is like the hit of the century for her but she doesn't want to kill him just under someone's order and Jim's life is in danger. But why? And when Jim and Noelle are forced to spend time together the secrets reveal and the pain with it.

Jim and Noelle had a past obviously and things were done and not discussed. Usually I am frustrated with whole miscommunication/non-communication thing. But here the situation was really messed up and there is this emotional roller coaster. So many things have happened which hadn't come to light and after so many years Jim and Noelle are given second chance and they just can't stay away from each other. Even though they think that they're toxic for one other.

I really liked the story and the reason behind Jim disappearance really turned out to be a major thing and not just some lame excuse which now days is happening a lot in the books that I am reading. Like there is a huge built up behind some situation and the climax turns out to be very unsatisfying one.

So this doesn't happen at all. I quite like the ending. IT was perfect for Jim and Noelle. It was a great read and the I obviously liked side characters. They're all great in every book!

Some of my favourite quotes/dialogues:

“She was a drug and he was an addict, hooked on her from the second he'd met her.” (Not very healthy but oh well, it is an apt quote for Jim and Noelle.)
*
“I hate phones," he grumbled into her neck. "Seriously, I wanna go back in time and murder Alexander Graham Bell." He sat up with a groan. "Or was it Edison who invented the phone? I can never remember."
She had to laugh. "I'm pretty sure it was Bell.” (LOL! Just some funny dialogue!)

I finished this at 2 am and today I have a 7 hour shift in retail wooooooooo I have no regrets!

So a few things of the things I loved:
1. Jim and Noelle past. Finally we learn about why they hate each other, making this an extremely delicious hate-to-love, as well as second chance romance!
2. Jim and Noelle's chemistry, you guys. Every time they are in the same room together everything burns and sizzles, leaving me so very parched. And the sex... the sex is *chef's kiss* perfect.
3. Sully and Liam. Sully and Liam. Sully and Liam. LIAAAAAM.
