An excellent short story and welcome visit back to the world of the tournament.

Set just after Elizabeth I has been crowned, Roger Ascham is summoned to help the new queen find out who is trying to kill her.

A short sharp story that was very enjoyable.

A very short and very enjoyable read. I’ve never read about this character but now I would love to. I didn’t know Matthew Reilly could write the mystery genre so well too! 5/5 from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a fun half hour read. Nothing complicated about the mystery, no twists, just an amusing short story fitting into the world of one of Reilly’s previous books. I like the character of Ascham in the Tournament (& the other short story), so I enjoyed this little entertainment
