I am new to nonfiction books, and man this is a good one to start with! I switched from reading and listening to the audiobook (which I highly recommend- the author does an excellent job) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked how she mixed stories in with facts, and talked about indigenous wisdom as well as western science. It was such a lovely mixture of myths, facts, science, environment and philosophy. But it is also scary to hear about how the earth is dying - if you aren't aware of the details of global warming, be prepared. I learned a lot from this book and look forward to reading her other book
