This series seems to be moving to the Matthew Reilly territory. Castillo is becoming his own private government, flipping everyone off and doing as he wishes. Svetlana is slowly becoming more and more irritating and caricaturish. While the whole lunatic president angle is what props up the book, the series is slowly but surely losing steam
