It pains me to say this because I love any and everything Neil Gaiman related. But this graphic novel just didn't do it for me. 

Likely Stories was a series of short vignettes but instead of having Gaiman's signature twist on dark fantasy they just ended up being weird and not in a good way. I'm not a prude by any means but the first tale of a man dealing with masturbation and VD was just icky. And then the story of a man seeing the same "nineteen year old girl" in Penthouse spanning 30 years was lecherous. Instead of a nice twist of horror and fantasy I was left feeling a little grossed out.


This was a bummer for me.
