Lodestar is number #5 in the Keeper of the Lost Cities books. This series follows Sophie, an Elf born in human circumstances and brought back into the Elfin community to help save their world. In this particular book, the defenses are breached and the world looks a little bleaker for Sophie & Co. as they unravel clues and knowledge to try an get ahead of the impending threat.
A kid I knew got me started on this series but quit after the first book. I need a friend or a bookclub to discuss this series with. The first thing I would say is, while I really enjoy this series, I wish Sophie would stop blushing when her friends, who are boys, talk to her so much. Then we would agree and move on to the fast pace plot lines and adventures these characters find themselves on in their quests.
