I remember reading this years ago and finding it sooo good. Now I find it dull, over the top and long winded.

I read this when I was 18 - 19 not long after release and can hardly recall it but do remember liking it. The link posted reminded me of it.

It's a delicious thriller entirely written in the form of letters. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Told in the form of letters of correspondence (1970's--would be emails & texts today). Read it in one sitting--somewhat predictable but still, the format made it intriguing reading.

Uses the epistolary format to provide tension that could be cut with a letter opener. Excellent use of different voices for different characters.
