This is my favorite of the saga so far (#3). It's got a lot of action and great scenes between the characters. I think writing action scenes is what the author is the best at at this point.

There are some scenes that ran on for too long for my taste and others that were too short, but other than that is book is really solid.

Excited to read the fourth book for the first time!

*RE-READ* Turns out a remembered the first two books more than the latter two books in the series. So much of Brisingr was a surprise which made reading it a very enjoyable experience. It was almost a comfortable reading experience as I was familiar with the characters and magic but what they did was all new to me.

The plot moves too slow but in the bad way, all three books have the exact same plot structure, the classist undertones are tiring. The only interesting thing about this book is the world-building.
I'm only continuing the series because my 12-year-old self enjoyed it.

Absolutately fascinating. I love the intensity that he creates. He justs gets better and better. And I can't wait for the next one! I have to say I cried during certain spots and I don't normally cry. Again, can't wait to continue the quest to defeat Gallbo-head!
