Started off strong, kept me interested for a while, but began to lose interest around 3/4 mark. Just too long.

Don't understand Miller's obsession/"love" with Julie, felt weird and random. How old is she supposed to be??? Cause he's old.

. Don't think I'll continue the series, but it was interesting enough. Lost the plot with the politics, though. Hard to follow.

A pretty decent noir, scifi, apocalyptic, murder mystery with a little swashbuckling horror thrown in. Not really the space opera that author(s) claim, but fun. The hard-boiled mystery, inter-stellar politics and Firefly-type adventures kept the pages turning.
