I am enjoying Era 2 more than I thought I would.
I am liking the character development and further expanse on some of the Skadrial lore. 
It’s fun catching Easter Eggs and seeing some familiar faces. 

Another Wild West Steampunk Fantasy detective plot- but I’m finding the criminal aspects very interesting.

The plot thickens. Wayne is and remains the best character.

Sanderson makes good use of the early chapters to establish important themes and concepts. His characters have definitely become a lot more two dimensional than the first series.

I enjoy how Steries's character is slowly being developed. Coming out of her shell as it were. Although I'd be interested to know if it was in the original plan or if the hiatus between the first and second book influenced the direction her character development has started to take.
